Gotta love my dad

He is one brave man to suffer through Hannah Montana 3-D. He took Big Sis to dinner at her favorite spot, Costco, for her favorite, hot dogs. Then to the movies.

Biker Chick

Opa now has an official 'Biker Chick'. She is about 3'6", blond, and has blue eyes. Big Sis has fallen in love with the Harley. She and Opa went for a cruise around the neighborhood and she asked to keep going for a longer ride. Someday babe! I know I should be worried, but crazy thing is that I'm not...

Cool Car = Cool Uncle

Our Onkel A (uncle in German) is so cool, he drives a right hand drive Mini Cooper. The girls got a chance to ride with him to Costco the other day on his birthday and they were excited beyond description. Onkel A taught them to give the Peace sign. Which they flashed out the back window to me (I was following in my car behind them). He also informed me later that they began headbutting each other to get a chance to look back at me. Poor guy. I'm sure that frazzled him having them fight in the back seat.

Taken after the headbutting occurred.

Making Cookies

Big Sis and I made cookies last night for her dance class. You might remember this post. Well I think I redeemed myself. Big Sis wanted to use the Princess Crown cookie cutter that Grandma gave her a while back. They turned out pretty cute.

Then DH and I got crazy after the girls went to bed and tried out something I'd seen online somewhere. We tried to make conversation heart sugar cookies. Thanks to some amazing xacto work by DH, cake glitter powder, and some major patience on DH's part, they turned out. Then the sugar rush hit me and I was so giddy and goofy I couldn't go to sleep. Poor DH!

Have no fear Underdog is here

Well he was here on Saturday night. Big Sis picked out the movie with DH on Saturday night for the family to watch. (She also picked out the popcorn and DH favorite, licorice)

***WARNING SPOILER ALERT***

At the end of the movie as Underdog comes flying back into the earth's atmosphere, buries the bomb, and then gets blasted Big Sis started crying. She didn't want poor Underdog to reach his demise. I can't believe how sensitive she is (doesn't get that from me). She was an emotional wreck. No one could look at her without her breaking into tears again. Then when Underdog comes to life she was still so worked up that the tears kept flowing. Oh how I love my sweet sensitive girl.

Lil Sis only lasted as long as the popcorn bowl. Man that girl has an appetite!

Best News

I saved the best post for last today. Stinkerbell (aka Lil Sis) is now potty trained!!! (note the Tinkerbell panties) And of course that requires jumping and dancing on our beds with our fairy wings. Oh and Lil Sis is pretty excited too!

Aquarium Fun

Our "favorite" Uncle (well that's what he keeps brainwashing the girls to say!) and Aunt treated us to a trip to the aquarium in Sandy. Lil Sis loved the clown fish (Nemo) display. Big Sis even tried to pet the sting rays (no stingers attached of course). However, her little arms weren't quite long enough for the deep tank. She was able to touch the starfish, urchins, and crabs (???). I can't remember what it was. There were sharks too.

Snowy Trip

The girls and I made an impromptu road trip up to Utah to visit Grandma and Grandpa this past week. Hence the lack of blogging. They absolutely loved the snow. Big Sis would wake up and look out the window and exclaim, "It's so beautiful". She couldn't wait to get out into the snow. Little Sis was a little more tentative, but not much. Grandpa pulled them behind the tractor on a sleigh. It was a little rough. Lil Sis kept getting knock off. After about the third time she had had enough and just stood their watching Big Sis and Grandma get knocked about in the snow.

They both miss Grandma very much. The morning we were packing up to leave Big Sis was in tears. "I don't want to go. I want to stay at Grandma's." And then the following night as I was getting the girls ready for bed Lil Sis started whimpering "I want Grandma". Grandma you are missed. We had so much fun.
