Spooktacular

We are getting excited and ready for Halloween already. It's easier to find costumes now, then trying to scramble last minute (I know from experience). I can remember my mom sewing costumes late the night before many times growing up. Thanks Mom. Besides the girls and I are having fun.

Enjoy a blast from my Halloween past....

It's funny

I think its hilarious that Big Sis loves to dress up and dream about weddings/dresses/princes, but doesn't want to get married.

Me: Big Sis, do you want to get married someday?
Big Sis: No, I want to live with you forever.
Me: Don't you want to have a family.
Big Sis: No, I don't ever want to leave you and dad.

So don't bother guys, this girl is already a confirmed old maid! I am so lucky that she loves DH and I more than anyone else right now. It however does not stop her from pointing out occasionally that she is going to be a nicer mom to her kids than I am. Apparently they will not have to take naps.

Dentist's Dream

We brushed our teeth all day today! I am every dentist's favorite mother! Lil Sis wanted so badly to use the Princess toothpaste we bought the other day. I kept telling her that we wouldn't use it until "ALL" the Shrek toothpaste was gone. Hence the constant brushing.

(please ignore my dirty mirror)
I mean come on what would you choose?

My Current Favorite

If you don't already know about this online radio site check it out, Pandora.com. I have been listening all day as I scrapbook. So fun, it always gets me in the creative mood when I listen to music.

Some of the stations I've set up:

ABBA
Jack Johnson
Oasis
Jingle Bell Rock (Christmas)

Game of Spooky Anyone?

A few years ago DH and I made up a game with Big Sis called Spooky. Its basically hide-n-seek in the dark. Each individual carries a flashlight. She loved it. Some of you may even have played with us before if you were so lucky to have spent the night in our tiny abode on Elksford Ave. Big Sis, Lil Sis and I played a round tonight. Here are some spooktacular shots...

Creepy looking Lil Sis. We had a good chuckle over this one.
Why so serious? Cuz this game is serious!

Really?

Today as we were traveling in the car we were listening/singing full tilt to Puff the Magic Dragon, a favorite of the girls (thank you Grandma Day), the following conversation took place.

Me (to Big Sis): Would you like to learn to play an instrument.
Big Sis: No.
Me: Really, you wouldn't want to learn to play the piano, violin, guitar, or banjo?
Big Sis: No.
Me: Okay.
Big Sis: Well, I would like to play the trumpet and the kazoo.

I always thought kazoos were just kids toys or annoying party favors, but I guess they really are instruments. Check out the Wikipedia article. That Big Sis is just too smart!
