Wow. I have never experienced an earthquake this close to home before. The house was really rocking. The girls were down stairs playing in their favorite hideout. Not a very safe location as a really heavy piece 0f furniture could have fallen on them. I ran to them and we stood in a safe area away from potentially hazardous objects as we watched the pool water slosh around like mad. Afterwards I explained to them what had just happened. Big Sis who is now in the "why" stage asked me a ton of questions, then exclaimed, "mom, my bones are still shaking, I was scared."
My bones were shaking too!
PS: No damage, just a couple fallen items and some frames and art of center on the walls.
PSS: As I was finishing this post we felt an aftershock. My heart is leaping out of my chest. The girls and I will be staying close together today.

OMG - I was in our van at a stoplight and it felt like we were on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland! As soon as I heard where the center was, I thought of you guys. Then I checked your blog and you are fast, girl!!! Glad to know that no one got hurt, except for some shaky bones.
Glad to hear everyone is ok! I sent you a text to see if you were ok but my Mom got through to you first.
I was really scared too... was at work (2nd level) and felt the whole place shake like crazy.) i could barley stand i was shaking so badly. the baby started to move like crazy, i think, he felt me adrenaline!!
talking bout moving, markus felt him today the first time (i said, he is moving like crazy!!)
Thank goodness!
I am so glad that you guys are ok. When they said that it was centered at Chino Hills, I immediately thought of you guys. We were upstairs when it happened, and it was shaking pretty bad. I told Jonathan to come by me because we were having an earthquake. He said, "That's not an earthquake, Mom." What an obedient son I have...
